I didn’t believe people could change. It took my own transformation to convince me.

My journey started when I found myself adrift in a storm of illness, career crisis, and friction with my wife and kids. Like you, I found myself seeking answers and looking for support.  I went to therapy and emerged a better husband, father, and friend to myself.  Inspired by my journey, I embarked on becoming a therapist and earned my master’s degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University.  After years of training in community mental health working with individuals, running groups, and becoming a certified anger management counselor, I joined Mark’s private practice and now I’m here to help you.

Together, we will navigate challenges like anger, relationships, depression and anxiety, illness and grief, parenthood, and career angst.  I offer individual therapy as well as group therapy focusing on men’s issues, separation and divorce, managing and treating anger, and navigating career transitions.  As a certified anger management counselor, I specialize in focusing on experiences of anger and offer insight and understanding while also teaching skills and structure when encountering and managing conflict in relationships with other people.

I look forward to working with you, inviting the change you want in your life, and helping you transform into the person you always wanted to be.

Rachael Reiss

As a successful entrepreneur in the film and television business for the last fifteen years, I surprisingly found myself seeking more meaning for my life. I felt curious about how to create meaningful connections, identify a deeper purpose for myself, and locate a better understanding of what drives me in my life and in my work.  Like you, I wanted to have a greater sense of who I was and a better understanding of the conflicts, internal and external, that I was facing.  Confronting these issues in my own therapy led me to pursuing a career as a psychotherapist.

I earned my master’s degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University and began my service in community mental health where I had the privilege of working with a diverse population of individuals and couples who were navigating experiences of depression, anxiety, self-doubt, divorce, insecurities, grief, relationship struggles, and trauma.

I work with clients from a psychodynamic, client centered approach.  In my clinical experience, I’ve come to understand that our past experiences, relationships and traumas color our present-day interactions and I am here to support your journey of self-healing at your own pace.  I also specialize in working with couples using an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approach, which helps us identify negative interaction cycles that prevent you from connecting and utilizes the power of sharing emotions to strengthen your bonds as a couple.

This is your journey, and I am here to support you as we explore the parts of your life that are no longer serving you and look for ways you can engage in life with a fuller, more open and peaceful heart.
