I think a lot of you and the struggles you are facing.
Having spent several years in the film and television business, I found myself stuck in a narrative that was no longer bringing me success, happiness, and fulfillment. As a father of two children, I was seeking greater purpose in my life and the desire to be a source of inspiration and pride for my family. Finding the courage, I enrolled in graduate school and earned my Masters in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University.
My practicum led me to working in community mental health where I spent the next several years treating diverse populations of individuals, couples, families, groups, teens, and children navigating experiences of depression, anxiety, grief, anger, relationship struggles, parenting conflicts, separation, divorce, and death.
However, I quickly realized that in helping others, I was also learning to help myself. I took my struggles with anger and learned to work with my emotions by becoming a certified anger management counselor. Enduring the pain of divorce, I committed myself to working with couples and embraced Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) as a means of identifying the destructive cycles that rupture relationship and the healing power of sharing emotions. I finished the requisite three thousand hours of service, earned my license, and formed my own private practice.
And I’m here for you.
I’m here to help you navigate the problems in your life that prevent you from finding the happiness you desire. I’m here to help you invite the hope and intimacy in the relationship that you and your partner so richly deserve. I’m here to support you with strength, compassion, an open mind, an empathic heart, and a wisdom forged by experience and grounded in the belief that we all deserve a life worth living.
Seeking therapy is an act of courage and I want to support you and stand by you as we take this journey together.
